The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, September 5, 1916

Mrs. J. F. Robinson, mother of Mrs. Abe Engelman, died at 8:45 Monday evening, 
at the age of 95 years.  Her home has been with Mrs. Engelman for the past 44 
years.  The funeral will be held at 2:00 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, at the 
home, Rev. A. R. Mitchell officiating.  Burial at Highland Park.

Mrs. Robinson was born November 13, 1821, in England. She came to this country 
in the early 50’s, the ocean trip being made in a sailing vessel, when it took 
much longer that it does now.  There are no relatives on this side of the 
Atlantic, Mrs. Robinson being the last of a family of eight.  She leaves two 
daughters, Mrs. Engelman and Mrs. T. F. Westervelt of Saginaw.  Mrs. Robinson 
was a member of the Episcopal church.

Friends will kindly omit flowers.
