Don Robinson, 33, was killed at about 7 o’clock Monday morning when his car was struck by a westbound Pere Marquette freight train at the grade crossing two miles northwest of here. According to Deputy Myrl E. Doty, and Coroner Bruce C. Fales of Belding, who investigated the accident, Robinson was driving north on the county road en- route to the farm of Chester Hesterley, where he was employed, when the train struck his car demolishing it and killing Robinson outright. Robinson was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Robinson, deceased, and was born on a farm near the Limerick school in Odessa Township. He had been making his home for the past several months with his aunt Mrs. Frank Runyan who lives just south of Lakeside cemetery.
