Joan was born Oct. 10, 1931, in Hubbardston to John and Bernice McCuaig Loucks. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Carson City in 1949. She married Duane Robinson on May 12, 1950 at St. Mary’s Church in Carson City. She helped her husband run the family business for many years and helped teach catechism classes. She loved growing flowers. Joan was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Duane; daughter, Carol and Roger Damaska of Fenwick, sons, David and Janell Robinson of Midland, Robert Robinson of Alma; grandchildren, Emily, Erin, Sarah, Jason; great-grandchildren, Kiera, Jenson, Jennica, Avery; brothers, Jack Loucks of Belding, Pat and Janet Loucks of St. Johns; sisters, Kay and Gene Hodges of Carson City, Rose and Tom Bowler of Grand Ledge, Marilyn and Jim Mitchell of Belding; and special cousin, Dorothy Hutting of Carson City. A funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Church in Carson City with Father Charlon Mason officiating. Interment is in Mary Knoll Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Mid-Michigan Hospice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lux and Schnepp Funeral Home in Carson City.
