Robinson, 97, of Ionia died Thursday, Feb. 29, 1996 at the Heartland Health Care Center. She was born on Oct. 14, 1898 in Ionia, the daughter of Henry and Myrtle Millard Cook. She was a member of the First Christian Church for over 50 years, a lifetime member of the Women of the Moose, member of the Garden Club, Friendship Club, and past member of the Eastern Star. She played piano for the Women of the Moose. She is survived by son Gerald J. Robinson, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald G. Robinson, son Thomas L. Robinson, daughter, Betty L. Robinson Struble, brothers, Ora, Otis, Millard and Holden Cook, sisters Ruth Cook and Esther Banhagel, and grandson James Struble Jr. Funeral services will be Monday at 3 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Ionia with Rev. Martha F. Chenault officiating. Interment will be in Balcom Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the Lake Funeral Home in Saranac. The family requests that, in place of flowers, a donation be made in Robinson’s name to the First Christian Church.
