Mr. Robinson came to Michigan when a young man and located at Lyons where he owned and operated a foundry and pump factory for many years. On December 19, 1870 he was united in marriage with Mary J. Lewis of Lyons who passed away three years ago. In 1883 Mr. and Mrs. Robinson went to Dakota. After a residence there of about eighteen years, they returned to Lyons in 1902 which place was their home until the passing of Mrs. Robinson. Since then Mr. Robinson has spent the most of his time with his nephews at Carson City. Mr. Robinson had been in very poor health the past six months and was living wit his nephew, John Emerson, this winter, where he passed away, heart failure being the immediate cause of death. He leaves one sister, living at Madoc, Ontario, and a host of nephews and nieces and many friends to mourn his departure. Mr. Robinson was an earnest Christian, being a member of the Presbyterian church in Groton, South Dakota, from which he never withdrew his membership. The funeral services were held at Lyons, February 12th, Rev. W. W. Hurd officiating, and the remains laid to rest beside his wife in the family lot in the Lyons cemetery.
