Robinson, age 100, of Orleans, passed away Friday evening, June 29, 2007 at Spectrum Health United Memorial Hospital under the loving care of the nurses and staff of the Long Term Care in Greenville. She was born February 27, 1907 in Orleans, the daughter of Guy & Maude (Comstock) Hoppough. Dorothy was the loving wife of her husband Stanley of 73 years, mother of her 5 children, attended the Shiloh Community Church, worked many years door to door for the American Cancer Society and was the Chairman of the Orleans Township Cancer Drive. She is survived by her children Vera & (George) Hendricks of Grand Rapids, Dorma Lee & (Leo) Marshall of Greenville, Shirley & (Larry) Baker of Walker, and Ronald Robinson of Orleans; 14 grandchildren Jeff & (Sally) Marshall of Greenville, Doug Marshall of Glen Ellyn, Dan & (Jennifer) Marshall of Cadillac, Mark Hendricks, Jody & (Murray) MacGready, Larry Baker II, Michele Baker & (Frank Martin), Ron Robinson and Jill & (Eric) Olsen of Grand Rapids, Robin Grzeszak of Cedar Springs, Tom Lafferty of Sheridan, John & (Denise) Baker, of Middleville, Tim & (Kathy) Robinson of Ionia, Chris & (Beth) Robinson of Lowell; 35 great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; sisters in law Gen Hoppough of Big Rapids Carol Hoppough of Florida. Dorothy is preceeded in death by her husband Stanley on Feburary 22, 2000, son Marvin on May 5, 2003, parents, 5 brothers, 2 sisters and her great granddaughter Holly Baker. Visitation will be Tuesday and Wednesday 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 5, 2007 at Shiloh Community Church, with visitation from 10 a.m. till the service. Burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made in Dorothy's name to Shiloh Community Church or Spectrum Health United Memorial Hospital Long Term Care. Arrangements are by the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville.
