Ionia Daily Sentinel, 19 Apr 1960

Sidney A. Rochester, 80, died Saturday at the Veterans hospital in Dearborn 
where he had been a patient three weeks.

He was a retired railroad conductor, and veteran of the Spanish American War.  
Mr. Rochester was born near Eaton Rapids and lived in Ionia several years prior 
to 1942 when he moved to Six Lakes.  He was a member of the Masonic lodge at 
Greenville, and the Holy City White Shrine.

His wife, Edythe preceded him in death in 1954.  Surviving is one son, Wilson, 
of Ypsilanti.

Funeral service will be held at the Petit funeral home in Eaton Rapids.
