                       GEORGE EARL ROCKAFELLOW

FENWICK - George Earl Rockafellow, 83, 596 Fenwick Road, Fenwick, died  
Wednesday at Sheridan Community Hospital.

Born November 10, 1899, at Sumner, he was the son of Charles and Mary 
Rockafellow.

He was married to Cecelia Scheidt on April 19, 1958, at Orleans.  

He is survived by three daughter,Mrs.Stanley (Lois) Jenks of Sheridan, 
Mrs.William (Norma) Nestle of Sheridan, Mrs.Nila Edwards of Tempe, Ariz.; three 
step-daughter, Mrs.Roy (Margaret) Zigler of Orleans, Mrs.John (Polly) Luna of 
Carson City, Mrs.David (Hazel)l Turmo of Sheridan; two sons,Gerald of Ionia and 
James Of Fenwick; and one stepson, Richard Stevens of Belding.

Also surviving are one brother, Ralph of Sumner; two sisters, Mrs.Suzie Knight 
of Alma, Mrs.Laverne Haag of Breckinridge; 23 grandchildren, 32 great-
grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren and 8 step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Glen, and one daughter, Louise Jorgensen.

Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the Stebbins and Simpson funeral 
Home in Sheridan, with the Rev. Mark G.Johnson officiating.

Burial will be in the Clear Lake Cemetery. Following the committal service the 
family will be at the VFW Post 5065 of Sheridan where a luncheon will be served 
by the Women's Auxiliary for family and friends.
