Caroline Marjorie Rockey, 76, of Portland, loving wife, mother and grandmother
passed away on Oct. 1, 2007.  She was born on Feb. 24, 1931 in Westphalia, the
daughter of Joseph and Eleanor (Schafer) Smith.  Caroline was a member of St.
Patrick Catholic church and the V.F.W. Post 4090 Ladies Auxiliary.  She enjoyed
spending time outdoors and with her family.

Caroline is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Clarence, Robert, Ambrose,
Joseph and Charles; sister, Roberta Weber; and special mother-in-law, Elizabeth
Rockey.

Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Leo; children, Carol (William) Mitchell,
Karen (Tom) Graft, Bob (Bonnie) Rockey, Ann (Junior) Miller, Dan (Jessica) Rockey,
Barb (Steve) Wilcox, Kathy Rockey and Lisa (Chad) Barker; 27 grandchildren; 26
great-grandchildren; and brother, Simon (Revella) Smith.

Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by Rev. Larry King on Oct. 4 at St. Patrick
Catholic Church, Portland.  Rite of Committal followed at Portland Cemetery. 
Arrangements were entrusted to the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Portland.
