Daily Standard - Monday, May 22, 1899

Marshall M. Rockwell, a well known resident, who has been sick a long time, 
died on Saturday night. He was 73 years old, and served as a soldier during the 
civil war, in the 35th Missouri. The funeral services conducted by Rev. D.A. 
Jewell, took place at the G.A.R. rooms at 5 o'clock this afternoon, in charge 
of the Bordeu post, the bearers being Comrades M.L. Pike, C. L. Mann, N.L. 
Brookins, George Corey, A.L. Willard and A.J. Cook.
