The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, March 14, 1966

Mrs. Cora Rogers, 84, of Orleans, died Saturday at United Memorial hospital, 
Greenville.  Born in Berlin township, Ionia county, March 17, 1881, Mrs. 
Rogers lived her entire life in this area.  Her husband, Charles Rogers, died 
in 1925.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Vernon Bliss, Mrs. Walter Brown, 
Greenville; Mrs. Chauncey Braman of Lansing and Mrs. Charles Young of Ionia; 
one son, Fred of Belding; two sisters, Mrs. Maude Howe and Mrs. Daisy 
Chickering, both of Belding; two brothers, Hubert Doty of Ionia; and Allen 
Doty of Belding; 14 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

Services will be conducted by Rev. Ralph Kline of Orleans Methodist church 
Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Huffman funeral home in Belding.  Bearers 
will be Richard Braman, David Braman, Gerald Braman, Paul Young, James Bliss 
and Wayne Bliss.
