The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, August 19, 1975

Wendell Irving Rogers, 71, of 1543 Somers road, Lyons, died Monday at the 
Ionia Memorial hospital following an extended illness.  He was born in Orange 
township October 15, 1903, the son of Charles and Fannie Rogers.  He attended 
the Portland public schools.

June 15, 1923, he married Ada McLean in Grand Rapids.  He was a carpenter and 
home builder in Grand Rapids before retiring in 1967 to his home near Lyons 
which he had built.  

Surviving besides the wife, Ada, are a daughter, Mrs. Beverly Clarke of Alma 
and four grandchildren.  A son, Roy Elmer Rogers and a grandchild preceded him 
in death.

Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Hull Memorial chapel in Muir.  
Rev. Richard Harrison of Lyons Baptist church will officiate and burial will 
be in Danby cemetery.
