Funeral service for Mrs. Alice F. Rogers, 83, who died Thursday noon at her home
641 East Washington, will be conducted at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon at Myers
funeral home by the Rev. James W. Kendall, pastor of First Christian church.

Mrs. Rogers was born in Sebewa township June 30, 1881, daughter of Lewis and
Ruth Aungst Torpy, and attended Saranac public school.  She was married February
23, 1907 to Alpha E. Rogers and with him moved to Ionia from Lowell in 1912 and
spent the remainder of their lives at their Washington street home.  Mr. Rogers
died December 20, 1957.

Mrs. Rogers is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Bennett and a son, William
H. Rogers of Ionia; three grand and five great-grandchildren.

Interment will be at Boston cemetery.
