The Lowell Ledger, November 22, 1917

The funeral of Milton J. Rogers, whose death was recorded in our issue of Nov. 
15, was held Sunday at 2 p.m., at his late home, Rev. A. H. Lash officiating.  
A large delegation of the Moose lodge, of which deceased was a member, was 
present and attended the remains to Oakwood cemetery.

Mr. Rogers was born in Woodland, Barry county, Mich., Jan. 19, 1858, and came 
in early life with his parents to Lowell, and the most of his life has been 
spent in this vicinity.

He was united in marriage, March 21, 1883, to Miss Ada E. Chase of Boston 
township.  To them were born two sons and two daughters, who with the wife, 
aged parents, three brothers and many relatives, survive him.

Mr. Rogers was a man unassuming in his ways, a kind husband and father and a 
faithful and competent workman who gave the best of his energies to whatever 
he undertook.  He will be missed in his home and in his circle of friends.

Relatives and friends from outside attending the funeral were Jehiel Rogers 
and family of Dowling, Thaddeus Rogers of Flint, Martin Rogers and family of 
Muskegon, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Rogers of Battle Creek, Mr. and Mrs. Austin Chase, 
Tom Renwick and family, Mrs. Haughwont, Mr. and Mrs. Allie Austin, Clarence 
Renwick and Warren Peterson, all of Saranac; Guy Wilbur and family of Ionia, 
Mrs. Agnes Rowlader and family of Irving, Kenneth D. Chase and Mr. and Mrs. 
Edwin Peterson of Grand Rapids, John Bovee and family of Pratt Lake and Mr. 
and Mrs. Herman Chase, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Lewis, Royal Lewis and family, Mr. 
and Mrs. Fred Lewis, Ed. Hotchkiss and family and Newell Hotchkiss, all of 
Boston township.
