Guy L. Rogers, 79, retired farmer of route one, Woodland, died Friday at 3:30 
p.m. at Pennock hospital, Hastings, where he had been a patient for the past 
five days.  He had been in ill health for a few weeks.

Born July 28, 1878 in Darke county, Ohio, he was a son of John and Lydia 
(Dunklebarger) Rogers and had lived on the same farm for 71 years, coming from 
Ohio when eight years of age. 

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Carl (Bertha) Walker of Sunfield; two sons, 
Ray and Clifford of Lake Odessa; nine grandchildren; seven great-
grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Fred (Mary) Bulling of Lake Odessa; Mrs. 
David (Deborah) Hiscutt of Hastings; one brother, John of route three, Lake 
Odessa.  His wife, Florence, died in 1920.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Pickens funeral chapel Monday at 2 
p.m. and burial will be in Woodland Memorial cemetery.  The Rev. I. H. Osgood 
of Calvary United Brethren church will officiate.
