Ionia Sentinel-Standard, January 7 1938
John D.B. Rogers died at his home near Shiloh in Ronald township about 10 
o'clock Thursday evening at the age of 69. He was a Spanish war veteran and 
belonged to the Frank D. Curtis camp.  He leaves besides his widow, Clara, four 
sons, Jean of Greenville, Lee of Roger City, Lynn of Belding and Albert of 
Belding, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Orser of Roosevelt, Utah. Funeral services 
will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Stebbins funeral home, with 
Rev. H.S. Ellis of Belding officiating. Interment will be at Woodard Lake 
cemetery.
