Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 24 Dec 1957

Funeral service for Alpha E. Rogers, 72, who died at home, 641 East Washington
street, Friday, was held Monday at 2 p.m. from Myers funeral home.  The Rev.
Elmer Ubbink of Lyons Baptist Church officiated and interment was in Balcom
cemetery.

Pallbearers were Harry Morgan, Walter Perrien, Leon McQuillan, Hudson Lewis,
Robert White, all members of the Ionia Odd Fellow Lodge.  Boy Scout Troop 85
attended in the body.

Attending from out of town where Mrs. Milo B. White of Muir, Mrs. Ruth Fisher
and Joyce of Alpena, Ray E. Torpy of Columbiaville, Mr. and Mrs. Jule Strohscien
and Gary of Pontiac, Mrs. Edna Kirby and Mrs. Amy Simmons of Saranac, Mr. and
Mrs. R.E. Baker, Mrs. Floyd Baker, Mrs. Marie Hermandez and Linda of Battle Creek.
