Rogers, age 82, of Lake Odessa, passed away early Wednesday morning, June 19, 2002. Glada was born in Lake Odessa on November 15, 1919 to Everett and Tillie (Schelter) Shellenbarger. She attended school in Lake Odessa and had worked at the AC Sparkplug factory in Ionia during WWII. Glada was married to Clair Rogers on December 15, 1945. Glada was a kind and faithful lady who always put her priorities toward caring for her husband and sons. Her family remembers fondly all of her home cooking. She is survived by her sons, Mark (Karen) Rogers, Tom Rogers and Bill Rogers; four grandchildren; her brother, Acel (Marion) Shellenbarger; her sister, Betty List and many other loving friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clair “Buck” on May 5, 1987 and her sister, Genevieve Shellenbarger. Services were held Friday, June 21, 2002 at Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa. Burial was at Lakeside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
