The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, April 27, 1942


Private funeral services were held Sunday at 3 p.m. from the Stone funeral home 
for Jesse Rogers who died Friday at the Ionia Community hospital,  Rev. F. G. 
Dunbar officiated.

Masonic services were held at the Saranac cemetery.  Bert Fox of Ionia read the 
burial service.  William McCaul of Clarksville was senior warden and Thomas 
Hartwell, of Saranac, was junior warden.  Edson Bushnell of Clarksville was 
chaplain.  Masons who acted as pallbearers were R. W. Leonard, F. S. Phillips, 
Jay Swiger, Austin Rosenberger, Edwin Nash and John McKinsey.

Relatives from away were Mr. and Mrs. Max Strother and son, Junior, and Mr. and 
Mrs. Rex Strother, all of Lansing and Mr. and Mrs. Russell Curtiss and family 
from Portland.
