Rogers, 92, retired farmer of route 2, Lake Odessa, passed away early Saturday morning at Pennock Hospital, Hastings where he was hospitalized a week. He was born at Springport, January 21, 1883, son of John and Lydia (Dunkelbarker) Rogers and had spent most of his life in the Woodbury area. Surviving are his wife, Dolly, six daughters, Mrs. Loring (Leo) Dull of Newaygo, Mrs. Morris (Ethel) Carey of Lake Odessa, Mrs. Leon (Elsie) Meyers of Arizona, Mrs. Darwin (Dorothy) McClelland of Woodland, Miss Ruth Rogers of Northfield, Ill., and Mrs. Kay Benham of Hastings; a son, Victor of Lake Odessa; 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren; three step-sons, Richard Krebs of Charlotte, Gaylord Krebs of Lansing, and Ross Krebs of Lake Odessa and 14 step-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday at 1:30 at the Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel at Lake Odessa. Rev. Edgar Perkins officiated with burial in the Woodland Memorial Park.
