Ionia Sentinel - Friday, June 28, 1875

E. Rogers, father of G.W. Rogers, died very suddenly on Monday morning last at 
five o'clock. He had been complaining for several days of pain in the chest, but 
nothing serious was thought of it and he was sitting in his chair, when he died 
almost instantly. He was quite an old man, and has resided in this vicinity for 
many years.
