Sept. 18, 2008 John Richard (Bob) Rogusky, aged 81, of Ionia, passed away Sept. 15, 2008. He was born Sept. 28, 1926 in Lima, Ohio, the son of John and Grace (Konst) Rogusky. John was a 1944 graduate of St. John’s Catholic School in Lima, Ohio. John married Marge Peiffe June 30, 19448 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Carson City. John started work in the Greenville area at Gibsons. He would go on to work at the State Hospital in Ionia. He continued to work in the Dept. of Corrections as well as Hobby Craft Instructor, retiring after 34 ½ years. John was a WWII veteran in the Army. He was a member of the American Legion Post in Greenville. He was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. John is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Marge Rogusky of Ionia; children Peg (Steve) Starks of Ionia, Rick (Cindy) Rogusky of Ionia and Kathy (John) Zimmer of Gilroy, Calif.; sister Martha McClintock of Fenwick; stepbrothers Jack Fahey, Jim Fahey and Bob Fahey; stepsisters Mary and Sheila; brothers and sisters-in-law Mary Anne and Vic Ratu of Muir, Gene and Sharon Peiffer of Orleans and Vicki Peiffer of Crystal; grandchildren Nick Starks, Julie (Spencer) Stewart, Danielle (Jason) Sibley, Christopher (Sarah) Rogusky, Erik Zimmer, Nicole (Adrian) Garcia and Justin Zimmer; 7 great-grandchildren with another on the way and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers-in-law John McClintock, Dick Peiffer and Jim Peiffer, step father Joseph Fahey and stepsister, Patty. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday 11 a.m. at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church with Father Melvin Fox officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia and one hour prior to service at the church Thursday at the Funeral Ho.
