Ionia Sentinel Standard
Charles E. Robson, 58, of 145 Center, Saranac, died Saturday afternoon at Grand 
Rapids Osteopathic hospital after being hospitalized several weeks.  Born at 
Chase April 23, 1914, he was the son of Mr and Mrs Franklin Robson.  December 7, 
1949, he was married to Mary Jane Walter and lived at Saranac, the past 23 
years.  He was employed at Universal Metal at Saranac 18 years, was a member of 
Saranac fire department and worked part time for the Village of Saranac.

Surviving besides the wife, Mary Jane, are two daughters, Mrs. Sylvia McNitt and 
Mrs Judy Ripley of Grand Rapids; four grandchildren; sister, Mrs Leith Green of 
Lapeer.  Funeral services will be Tuesday at 3:30 pm at Saranac Community 
church.  Rev Ed Mendenhal will officiate and interment will be at Saranac 
cemetery.  Mr. Robson will be at Morris-Roetman funeral home in Saranac until 
noon Tuesday.
