Ionia Sentinel Standard, 1 Feb 1966

Mrs. Blanche R. Rolan, 67, wife of Thomas H. Rolan of 632 Harrison street, died
Monday evening in Ferguson-Droste hospital, Grand Rapids.  She had been a patient
the past month.  Mrs. Rolan lived most of her life in Flint.  She was born January
21, 1899 in Ionia, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles L. Helmer, and had moved
back to Ionia about two years ago.  She was married November 18, 1943.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas H.; her mother Mrs. Margaret Helmer; a
daughter, Mrs. Genevieve Johnson and a brother, Bert Helmer, all of Ionia; two
sisters, Mrs. Bruce Klinglar of Naples, Fla., and Mrs. Grace Larsen of Ionia.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Boynton funeral home.  The Rev. Robert
S. McComb of First Presbyterian church will officiate and interment will be at
Tuttle cemetery.
