The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, May 14, 1949


Arthur Ronan of 620 Hackett street died Saturday at 3:15 a.m. at a convalescent 
home on east Main street.  He had been ill since June 1946.

Ronan came to Ionia from Brooklyn, N.Y. in…(illegible).  He was employed by the 
Ypsilanti Reed Furniture company for 14 years.  Since 1935 he has been an 
employee of the Michigan Reformatory until his illness forced his retirement.

He was married May 6, 1915 to Deltina George in Portland, Me.  He is survived 
by his wife; two children, Harry, a student at Michigan State College, and Mrs. 
Henry Weyland of St. Joseph, Mich.  A sister, Mrs. Vera Driscoll of….
(illegible)...and one grandchild.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. from the Boynton funeral home.
