Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 8 Sep 1961

Leon W. Roomsburg, 64, died at 9:50 p.m., Thursday at Butterworth hospital in
Grand Rapids where he was a patient three days.  He had been ill about two weeks.

He was a veteran of World War I and had been employed at Grand Valley Chair
company the past 14 years.  Mr. Roomsburg resided at 301 East Adams street.  He
was born February 13, 1897 in Kalamazoo, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James S.
Roomsburg.  He was married to Helen S. Robinson February 9, 1927 and had lived
most of his life in Ionia.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; one daughter, Mrs. Ida May Nielson; two
grandchildren, and a brother, Raymond Roomsburg, of Ionia.

Service will be held at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon at Myers funeral home with
the Rev. Louis Horn officiating.  Interment will be at Highland Park cemetery.
