Ionia Standard, 8 Oct 1915

The remains of Mrs. J.L. Root arrived in Ionia today at mid-day, for interment,
being accompanied by Mrs. Robert Chester.  Many friends of the good woman and
long-time resident here, largely members of the Presbyterian church society,
with Rev. M.L. Marshall, met the funeral party at the train.

[Transcriber’s note:  There is a notation of the obituary card that she was
buried in Highland Park Cemetery,]
