He had been in ill health for some time. Born in Andover, Ohio, July 22, 1889, he was the son of Winfield and Flora Rose. March 5, 1914, he was married in St. Johns to Nellie Benjamin and she died September of 1960. He was an inspector in several factories in Detroit, Lansing and Ionia having retired from Mitchell Bentley corporation of Ionia. He lived in Lyons 22 years and attended Lyons Baptist church. Surviving are a brother, M.L. Rose of Vernon, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Karl Morse of Ashtabula, Ohio and Mrs. Walter Drake of Lyons. Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Lyons Baptist church. Rev. Richard Harrison will officiate and interment will be at East Plains cemetery. Mr. Rose will be at Shaw-Rivett-Hull funeral home in Muir until noon Sunday when he will be taken to the church.
