Rose, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Rose of Ionia township passed away this morning at 8:30 at the age of 16 years. Until last spring he attended the Holcomb school but was forced to quit on account of poor health. Besides his parents he is survived by two sisters Mrs. Opal Harnet and Miss Leona Rose, both at home. Donald was born in Mecosta county and would have been 17 soon. The funeral announcement will be made later. -------- The funeral service for Donald E. Rose will be held from the Lowery & Boynton funeral parlors Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock. Rev. Charles J. Kruse will officiate. Burial will take place in the family lot at Highland Park cemetery. -------- The funeral service for Donald E. Rose was largely attended from the Lowery & Boynton funeral chapel Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock. Rev. Charles J. Kruse conducted the service. Practically all of the students of the Holcomb school attended the service in a body with their teacher, Miss Beatrice Bippley. The bearers were Frank Conner, Bert Miner, Gerald Frost and Harold McNeil. The music was furnished by Mrs. Eugene Smith and Mrs. Henry Robertson. Burial took place in the family lot at Highland Park cemetery.
