Rosecrance, age 85, of Johnson City, Tenn., passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2004. He was born on November 1, 1918 in Ionia County, the son of Karl and Gladys (Graves) Rosecrance. He married Marie Weber on June 21, 1942. Born to that union were Ann Marie, Sally (Michael) Grohowski, and Brian Rosecrance. Mr. Rosecrance worked as a salesman for Hiler's Clothing, Stevenson's, Weber Electric Co. and Grand Rapids Lighting Center. For many years he was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ionia where he served as usher and choir member and after moving to Johnson City became an associate member of the First United Methodist Church of Johnson City. Music and golf were his favorite pastimes. He helped organize the Ionia Community Band in 1985. Mr. Rosecrance was preceded in death by his two daughters, Ann Marie and Sally; two sisters, Imogene (Glenn) Denny of Marion, Ind., and Doris (Paul) Stewart of Terre Haute, Ind. He is survived by his wife, Marie and son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Cathie Rosecrance of Johnson City, Tenn.; three special grandchildren, Laura Sira of Midland, David Rosecrance of Knoxville, Tenn., and Matthew Rosecrance of Smyrna, GA; 5 great-grandchildren, Jacob, James, John and Joseph Sira and Chandler Rosecrance. The Funeral Service will be conducted by the Rev. Martin Culver, Pastor at 11 a.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church, Ionia. The family will receive friends at the church for visitation from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Monday. A luncheon will follow the service at church for further visitation with the family. Interment will take place at Saranac Cemetery at 2 p.m. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 105 E.
