Mildred Rosekrans, aged 90, of Ionia passed away November 5, 2014.  She was 
born February 25, 1924 in Dewitt the daughter of John and Dora Lerg.  Mildred 
married Lyle Rosekrans on May 25, 1943.  He passed in 2005. 

Mildred worked in partnership with her husband Lyle at the State Farm Insurance 
Agency in Ionia for 28 years.  She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in 
Houghton Lake and later with SS Peter & Paul in Ionia.  Mildred liked to play 
cards and golf in her younger years. 

Mildred is survived by her children, David (Renee) Rosekrans of Rockford, 
Doreen (Steve) Maschino of Midland, and Donald (Laurie) Rosekrans of Ionia; 
grandchildren, Denee (Tom) Mikel of St. Joseph, Matthew Rosekrans of Rockford, 
Michael (Lisa) Maschino of Midland, Greg (Debbie) Maschino of Midland, Gary 
Maschino of Midland, Heidi (Kurt) Kolp of Lowell, Holli (Troy) Wittenbach of 
Stanton, Mary Beth (Andrew) Avery of Clawson, and 22 great-grandchildren.  She 
was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lyle Rosekrans; son, Daniel 
Rosekrans; sister, Esther Kramp; and brother, Lavern Lerg. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, November 10th, 11 a.m. at SS 
Peter & Paul Catholic Church with Father Tom Boufford.  Visitation on Sunday 
from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.  Those wishing 
may make contributions in Mildred’s name to SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church or 
Ionia Area Hospice.
