The Ionia Daily Sentinel, Friday, May 2, 1919

The eleven months’ old baby of Rev. and Mrs. Ross passed away at the parsonage 
Wednesday evening, just as the shades of night were falling.  He was ill with 
the influenza in the winter which developed into pneumonia, and never seemed 
to regain his usual robust health.  The funeral was held from the home at 2 
p.m. Friday, April 25, Rev. Lash of Lowell officiating.  The sympathy of the 
community goes to the bereaved parents, who are far away from all the home 
folks in northwest Canada.
