Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Wed. June 26, 1985


IONIA – Private family services were to be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the 
Leddick Funeral Home for Thomas A. Ross, 83, of Ionia, who died Tuesday 
morning. The Rev. Timothy Gillette of First Baptist Church of Ionia is to 
officiate.

Committal services were at the funeral home with later burial in Easton 
Cemetery.

He was born in Thompsonville, Mich. on March 13, 1902, the son of Charles and 
Anna Ross.

He was married to Bertha H. Jensen on Jan. 24, 1924; they lived in Easton 
Township until moving to Ionia in 1938. 

He and his wife celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1974. She 
preceded him in death on Jan. 9, 1979.

He retired from Ionia Manufacturing Company in 1962.

He is survived by two sons, Robert of Zephyr Hills, Fla. and Howard of Ionia; 
two daughters: Mrs. John (Helen) Hague and Mrs. Robert (Pearl) McLoud of Ionia.

Also surviving are twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Two daughters and one son preceded him in death.
