The Ionia Daily Sentinel, Wednesday, July 26, 1911
Peter Ross, died July 25, Tuesday, at his home in North Plains at the age of 
77 years, 10 months and 23 days.  He was born in New York state and came to 
Michigan when 19 years old.  He married Miss Jane Parker in January 1859, and 
settled in North Plains where they resided at the time of his death, having 
lived there together for over half a century.  Four children survive, Frank 
Ross, of Muir, Mrs. Ellen Buck, of Iosco County, Bell and Bernard who live at 
home, and four sisters.  Two other children were born, but have died.
