The Ionia Standard, Friday, October 15, 1915
Richard K. Ross, whose illness has been several times noticed in these columns 
since he went to hospital in Grand Rapids some weeks ago for an operation, 
yielded to the grim reaper on Monday morning at 2:20 o’clock.  He was aged 64 
years, and had been a resident of Ionia nearly 30 years.  He was many years 
master bridge builder on the Pere Marquette railway.  He was a genial 
associate with men generally, and was greatly esteemed by those who knew him.  
Funeral service at the late home, 321 North Dexter street, at 2:00 o’clock on 
Tuesday afternoon.
