Jerry was born June 21, 1945 in Toledo, Ohio to George and Elma (Wilmer) Ross. On April 24, 2004 he married Linda Varney at their home. For 25 years, Jerry was manager of Car Quest Auto Parts in Ionia, and for the past seven years he worked at NAPA Auto Parts in Greenville. He loved to hunt and fish, considered by some a "professional camper." Jerry is survived by his wife, Linda; his sons Chris & Nikki Gallagher, and Tony Ross of Ionia; his daughters, Christine Ross of Lansing, Cinday & David Mohler of Arizona and Camie Pung of Portland; his step-children, Rachel Varney of Greenville and Dustin Varney of Kalamazoo; 12 grandchildren; sisters, Bonnie & Jim Bennett of Lyons, Joyce & Ed Fedjedelam of South Carolina and Barb & Dan Thompson of Greenville; his brothers, Dave & Pat Ross of Gobles and Bill & Judy Ross of Saranac. According to Jerry's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will greet friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday at Barden Funeral Home in Stanton. A memorial service to celebrate Jerry's life will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Jerry will be sadly missed by his family and friends, and his watch dog, Ginger.
