Richard “Dick” C. Ross, 80, of Coleman, formerly of Muir, died Sunday, March 
12, 2006 at home. He was born August 4, 1925 in Lyons the son of Bernard and 
Emma (Wright) Ross. Dick married Jean L. Buck May 20, 1948 in Scottville. He 
owned and operated Ross Body Shop in Muir. Dick enjoyed hunting, fishing and 
storytelling.

Survivors include his wife Jean of Coleman, two daughters Connie and Kim 
Methner of Sanford, Cathy Ross and fiancé' Eric Swift of Muir, 9 
grandchildren, Amber Rossell and fiancé' Bill Dietrich, Adam and Julie 
Rossell, Michael Bennett, Jason Bennett and Trever Bennett, Seth Methner, 
Lyndsay Dole, Matt and Tyler Methner, great grandchildren Taylor, Bailey and 
Wyatt Dole, sister Mary and Victor Hull and brother David Ross. He was 
preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Bobbie Ross Young, Jane Eddie and 
Isabelle Rauch.

There will be no visitation or services. Dick Ross is remembered for all of 
his stories and jokes. He loved people and would do anything for his family, 
whatever they needed, he would be there for them. He loved beer and hearing a 
new joke. A hand shake was his word. He is greatly loved by all and will 
forever be missed. Cards and well wishes may be sent to Jean Ross at 206 W. 
Railway St., Coleman, MI 48618.  O'Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc. handled the 
arrangements for Dick's family.
