The Hastings Reminder, Tuesday, July 7, 1981
Mrs. Pearl Roth, 84, died Saturday, July 4, 1981 at Barry County Medical 
Facility.  She was born in Hudsonville, September 15, 1896, the daughter of 
Gilbert and Lillian Hanson.  She married Gottlieb Roth on February 17, 1912 in 
Clarksville.  He preceded her in death in 1968.  She was a member of Hope 
Church of the Brethren, South Boston Grange, Clarksville Eastern Star, and 
Jolly Workers Club.

Mrs. Roth is survived by one son, Clare of Lake Odessa; four daughters, Mrs. 
Doris (London) Behensky of Lansing, Mrs. Irwin (Agnes) Harwood of Clarksville, 
Mrs. Ray (Patricia) Light of Lansing, and Mrs. Russell (Jean) Hazel of Lake 
Odessa; one daughter-in-law, Lorraine Roth of Lake Odessa; eighteen 
grandchildren; forty-one great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-
grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by two sons, Donald and Darwin.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, from the Hope 
Church of the Brethren with Rev. James Kinsey officiating.  Burial will be in 
Clarksville Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Hoped Church 
of the Brethren or Cancer Society.  Arrangements are by the Pickens-Koops 
Funerals Chapel.
