Prominent Lyons Resident Dead

James Rounds passed away at his home in Lyons at 2:30 Thursday morning after an 
illness of a year. He was born February 19, 1849, two miles north of Muir on the 
farm now owned by Herbert Dennis. He was married to Alice Baxter 50 years ago. 
They lived in Muir. He was Muir's barber a number of years and went west to 
Walla Walla, Washington and came back hereabout 38 years ago. They moved to 
Lyons after selling their farm near Portland. There were no children. He leaves 
his widow and one brother, Webster Rounds of Grand Rapids, and a number of 
nieces and nephews and cousins. Funeral will be Monday at 1 o'clock Eastern 
Standard time from the home in Lyons.
