Rountree LYONS- Funeral services for Mrs. Elva M. Rountree, 78, of Muir will be Sunday at 2 pm at First Christian church in Muir, Rev. Roger Wright will officiate and burial will be in Muir cemetery. Mrs. Rountree died late Thursday at Ionia County Memorial hospital following a short illness. She was born September 29, 1889 in North Plains township, the daughter of Benjamin and Sarah Loveless and a graduate of Muir high school. She was married to William Kemp, November 1909 and he died May, 1950. March 1957 she was married to Thomas Rountree who survives. Surviving besides her husband are one daughter, Mrs. Edith Allen of California; o ne son, Harold Kemp of Muir;; four stepdaughters, Mrs. Mildred Woodard of Naylor, Mo., Mrs. Mable Culp and Mrs. Cora Hawkins both of St. Louis, Mo., Mrs. Elma Adams of Muir; four stepsons, Virgil and Gene Rountree both of Muir, Harry of Belding, Paul of Oregon; 25 grandchildren, 20 step grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren, 31 step great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Mable Ludwick of St. Johns. She was a member of Frist Christian church of Muir and its women's organization. Until noon Sunday the body will be at Shaw-Rivett-Hull funeral home in Muir.
