Rowe, 90, of 806 James, Belding, died Monday at the United Memorial Hospital in Greenville. She was born June 24, 1899, in Portland, Ind., the daughter of Mines and Clara (Miller) Woten. She was a member of the Belding Free Methodist Church. She married Milan Rowe Aug. 4, 1915, in Belding. He preceded her in death in 1971. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Stary (Edna) Packard of Boyne City and Phyllis Ward of Rockford; one son, James Rowe of Belding; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Leatha Crossman of Muncie, Ind., and Agnes Morris of Canyon Lake, Texas; and one brother, Ervin Woten. She was preceded in death by one son, Lawrence Rowe, one daughter, Emma Kimball, one brother, Melvin, and one sister, Mary. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home in Belding, the Rev. Larry Umfleet officiating. Burial will be in River Rouge Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial has been established for Belding Free Methodist Church, in care of the funeral home.
