Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, 12 Jan 1960

Lewis A. Rowe, Sr., 86, died Monday at his home in Orange township, route two,
Ionia.  

He is survived by his wife, Olive, to whom he had been married 65 years; one
daughter, Mrs. Revah Galloway of Ionia; a son, Lewis E. Rowe, Jr., of Portland;
six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one
sister, Mrs. Mary Badder of Ionia.

The body is at the Neller funeral home in Portland where the family will receive
callers Tuesday and Wednesday evenings form 7 until 9.  Thursday the body will
be taken to the LeValley Methodist church where services will be conducted at 2
p.m., by the Rev. J. Lawrence Ward and Mr. Clinton Galloway, great-grandson of
Mr. Rowe.

Interment will be at Portland cemetery.  Bearers will be George Balli, Shirley
Scheurer, Harold Scheurer, Sr., Forrest Nash, John First and Frank Cody.
