He was born in Woodland township in 1881 and was reared in the home of Mr and Mrs. Conrad Schuler, his mother dying at his birth. When a young man he became associated in business with his brother C. E. Rowlader. They were contractors and builders in Grand Rapids for about 18 years. When his health began to fail Mr. Rowlader, with his wife, the former Ethel Hatten, moved to Woodland, making their home with the latters mother Mrs. Jessie Hatten, for the past nine years. Surviving besides his wife, is his invalid mother-in-law, and a sister Mrs. Mildred Hough of Mulvane, Kan. who just recently left on a trip to Europe. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Methodist church in Woodland with the Rev. Fay C. Wing officiating. Burial was at Lakeside cemetery.
