ROWLADER DIES SUDENTLY Mrs. Chas. E. Rowlader of Woodland died about 3:30 yesterday morning at the Eagle hotel, Grand Rapids, where she and Mr. Rowlader were stopping for the night. They had left home the afternoon before in their auto and were making somewhat of a round of grain elevators. Mr. Rowlader being the senior member of the elevator firm of Rowlader Brothers and Reiser with elevators at Woodland, Coats Grove and Hastings, also a heavy stock buyer. Mr. and Mrs. Rowlader arrived at Grand Rapids at about 11 p.m. and being very hungry, they went to a cafe nearby and ate a hearty meal, Mrs. Rowlader especially so, then returning to the hotel, they retired for the night. About 3 o"clock Mr. Rowlader was awakened by the peculiar breathing of his wife and found her unconscious, he called for assistance but all to no avail, the spirit of the loved one taking its flight within a very few moments e'er assistance could come, excepting the Rev. Bridenstein who was sleeping in the next room. Relatives and intimate friends at Hastings, Woodland and Lake Odessa were notified, including Mr. and Mrs. Geo. York here. A coroner's inquest was held and death pronounced as coming from an acute attack of indigestion. The remains were brought here on the noon train and met by friends from Woodland where the funeral will be held tomorrow Saturday at 10 a.m. at the residence, the Rev. Bridenstein officiating. Interment will be made in Lakeside cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Rowlader had been married eighteen years and had already made for themselves a nice fortune she being as good as he in their business engagements. The deepy bereaved husband has the sympathy of a large circle of close friends in this his sudden hour of great affliction.
