The Belding News, Thursday, August 31, 1905

Mrs. Elizabeth M. Rowland died at an early hour last Thursday morning, after 
several months’ illness, aged 49 years, 7 months and 8 days.  Deceased has 
resided in Belding several years and was highly respected and esteemed by all 
who knew her.  Four children and a wide circle of friends mourn her departure 
from earth-life.  Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ on Friday 
afternoon at 2 o’clock.  Interment in the Belding cemetery.

We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to the many neighbors whoso kindly 
assisted during the sickness and death of our beloved mother.  Also to those 
who so kindly furnished the many beautiful flowers.
