The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, December 20, 1954

Mrs. Eunice Marion Rowley, 86, died Saturday afternoon at Roush Convalescent 
Home where she had been a patient for several months.  She was born in Orleans 
township, October 15, 1868, the daughter of the late Jesse and Helen Smith.  
She was married to William Rowley of Orleans and lived on a farm there until 
his retirement.  He preceded her in death in 1934 and since that time she had 
made her home with her son, Alden Rowley, at 481 Rice street.  Before her 
illness she attended the Orleans Methodist church.

Surviving besides her son, Alden, are two daughters, Mrs. Hans Nelson of Ionia 
and Mrs. Hubert Reeves of Otisco and seven grandchildren and nine great-
grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Dumper of Ionia, Mrs. Bertha DeLine of 
Belding and Mrs. Etta Roberts of Ionia.  

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 at Stone Kauffman 
funeral home with the Rev. Hubert Ellis of Belding officiating.  Interment 
will be at Orleans cemetery.
