Mrs. Margaret Greene Rowley died at the family home in Otisco Saturday, aged 76 
years and 29 days.  The deceased was the wife of Colonel A. Rowley, whom she 
married Sept. 1, 1850, and had lived in Otisco for about 30 years, the family 
having moved here from Easton in an early day.  She was born in New York, Apr. 
7, 1831, was an excellent wife and mother, and with her husband walked the 
journey of life peacefully together, sharing its pleasures and vicissitudes as 
they encountered them.

She leaves, besides her aged husband, three sons, James, of Greenville; 
Adelbert and L.A. Rowley of this city; also one daughter, Mrs. Charles Melle of 
Six Lakes.

She was united with the M.E. church when 14 years old and after coming to 
Belding joined the Christian church.

The funeral was held Tuesday at the home, Rev. J.W. Sheehan officiating, and 
the remains were laid to rest in the Otisco cemetery.
