The Ionia Standard, Friday, July 12, 1918

S. C. Smith of Makkato, Kansas, and Mrs. William McKinney of Canton, Ohio, who 
came to attend the funeral of their sister, Mrs. Lena B. Rowley, at Portland, 
on Wednesday, spent Thursday in Ionia with their brother, Walter T. Smith, and 
Sat. all made an automobile trip to the old home of their birth at Hastings.  
Mrs. Rowley died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Leo Lehmann.
