Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Tues. April 8, 1969


A lifelong Ionia County resident, Vern Rowley, 85, Bellamy road, route 3, died 
Monday evening at Ionia County Memorial Hospital.

He was born, February 14, 1884, in Easton Township, the son of William and 
Susan McCord Rowley. July 20, 1918 he was married, in Ionia, to Martha Munger. 
He was a former employee of Ionia Manufacturing Company, Ionia Pottery and the 
past few years he spent farming. He was also a member of Easton Methodist 
Church.

Surviving are his wife, Martha; two sons, Harry and Gilbert of Ionia; two 
daughters, Mrs. Jesse Wilson, Mrs. Lloyd Richards of Ionia; 26 grandchildren 
and 21 great grandchildren and a brother Alden Rowley of Ionia. 

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 pm at Myers funeral home. Rev. Ralph 
Kline of Easton United Methodist church will officiate and burial will be at 
Easton cemetery.
