Born Oct.15, 1905, in Ionia, she was the daughter of Leo and Mabel McLeod Worden. She was a member of Easton United Methodist Church and taught Sunday school for 50 years. She was active in the church Youth Group, 4-H Club, and the women’s group, and was valedictorian of her class at Ionia High School. She was married to Kenneth Rowley in Angola, Ind., Aug. 20, 1932. He died in 1971. Surviving are three sons, Richard of Virginia, James of Ionia and David of Hubbardston; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren; four sisters, Jeanette Smith of Saranac, Margaret Morrow and Hazel Brickley of Ionia, and Virginia Morrow of Carson City. Funeral services will be Monday at 1 p.m. from Easton United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Katherine Coombs officiating. Burial will be in Easton Cemetery. The family will be at Lake Funeral Home, Saranac, Saturday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. A memorial has been established for Easton United Methodist Church, in care of the funeral home.
